Title: Automating Web 2.0 Rich Internet Applications (RIA). GWT - New Kid on the Block.
Synopsis:
Web 2.0 Rich Internet Applications (RIA) are already here and the days when we enjoyed automating simple HTML applications are in the past. Rich Internet Applications utilize various technologies, and among most popular are AJAX, Adobe Flex/Flash, and Microsoft Silverlight.
This presentation is to share some ideas on test automation approach for AJAX-based applications. We will be base our examples on AJAX applications built with one of most common toolkits: Google Web Toolkit (GWT). GWT-based applications are notoriously difficult to automate due to non-traditional HTML objects and synchronization and will explain what challenges you’ll be facing and how to overcome them.

Speaker Bio: Igor is the president and principal consultant of Connected Testing, Inc., Denver, USA, a developer of next-generation test automation solutions.
Igor has spent the last 10 years working in software testing with particular focus on software test automation and performance testing for Telecom, Financial Services, Health Care, and Aerospace industries. Igor developed a Keyword-Driven testing automation strategy called SME-Centric Test Automation Framework.
Igor is a frequent presenter at both domestic and international professional groups and conferences.
